Florian-Cecil Herold DrMedVet Msc
General Manager and Co-Founder
Flo is a veterinarian with a truly international background. Born in Zimbabwe, he grew up in Austria, studied in South Africa and worked in the UK before settling in Australia, where he has lived for the past 15 years. He holds dual Austrian and Australian nationality and typically spends the European summer back in Austria.
Professionally, Flo brings together clinical practice, education, and entrepreneurial thinking. His career has spanned hands-on veterinary work, academic research, and the development of continuing education programs for veterinarians and veterinary professionals.
Over the years, he has founded several veterinary businesses (amongst others vet-webinar.com), organised numerous seminars, workshops, and conferences and has also been involved in launching and managing a professional veterinary journal (news4vets).
Flo is lives with his wive Moni, who is also a veterinarian and their tripod cat Ludwig in Noosa, QLD. He has a daughter as well as a granddaughter.
Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and spending time on the water. His interests include tennis, sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing and he has competed in Ironman 70.3 events and got his eyes set on a full IRONMAN.
He’s also an avid traveller, some might say slightly addicted, having visited more than 100 countries. His adventures have included taking the Trans-Siberian Railway, trekking to Everest Base Camp, heli-skiing, running a half marathon in Spitsbergen, and observing mountain gorillas. He considers Uluru to be the most magical place on earth.
